Strawflower is a low-maintenance bloom that adds fun texture and a pop of color to bouquets and dried arrangements alike. I grow it every season for its papery petals and vibrant shades — it’s a favorite for both fresh market bouquets and everlasting designs.

  • Germination:

    7-10 days​

     

    Starting Indoors:

    • Fill your tray with soil, and place seed.

    • Mist water to hold the seed in place.

    • Do not cover as light is required for germination.

     

    Direct Sow:

    • Create your rows with seeds 10-12 inches apart.

    • Sprinkle seeds, and do not cover, as light is required for germination.

    • Water them in.

    Pinching is recommended.

     

    Growing Conditions:

    Grows best in full sun.

     

    Spacing:
