Snapdragons are a must-have in my flower field for their vibrant color range, tall spires, and sweet clove-like scent. I succession sow them throughout the season to keep fresh blooms coming, and they’re always a hit in market bouquets for their playful shape and reliable vase life.

  • Germination:

    7-14 days​

     

    Starting Indoors:

    • Fill your tray with soil, and place seed.

    • Mist water to hold the seed in place.

    • These you want to barely cover as light aids germination.

     

    Direct Sow:

    • Create your rows with seeds 4-12 inches apart.

    • Sprinkle seeds, and lightly cover with soil, as light aids germination.

    • Water them in.

    Note: Pinch seedlings when they reach about 4 inches tall and have 4-6 leaves to encourage bushier growth and more blooms.

     

    Growing Conditions:

    Grows best in full sun to part shade.
